Rene Kratz

 

molecellbioFDRené Fester Kratz is a Biology Instructor at Everett Community College, where she received an Exceptional Faculty Award in 2003.  She holds a Ph.D. in Botany from the University of Washington.  Dr. Kratz believes that everyone can understand the fundamental science that touches all our lives.  Through her teaching and writing, she tries to make science accessible, interesting, and fun.   As a member of the North Cascades and Olympic Science Partnership, she worked to develop science curricula that are in alignment with research on human learning.  In addition to her scientific publications, she is the author of Microbiology The Easy Way for Barron’s Educational Press, and Molecular and Cell Biology for Dummies, Botany for Dummies, and Biology Workbook for Dummies for Wiley Publishing.
